Sugar-Free Jam
Australia’s Buderim Ginger has entered the growing 100 per cent Fruit/Cane Sugar Free jam categories segment with a new ginger spread that is cane sugar-free.
Buderim Ginger aims to capitalise on ginger as a flavour which has achieved double-digit growth annually since 1999, by partnering the flavour’s popularity with health-minded consumers and those seeking more “diabetic-friendly” products.
Buderim’s new Ginger Spread became available on shelf last month, the start of the cooler months that traditionally see the consumption of jam, conserves and spreads soar.
Containing 15 per cent less kilojoules than regular ginger marmalade, Buderim Ginger Spread is sweetened with Fructose which has a glycaemic index (GI) rating of 23, which may be beneficial to consumers with diabetes.
